Buying, holding and converting crypto assets involves significant risk. Please read this disclosure before you use Vex Exchange, and think carefully about whether these risks are acceptable for you.
Only use money you can afford to lose. The value of crypto assets can fall sharply and quickly — even stablecoins can lose their peg. Nothing on Vex Exchange is investment advice.
Price volatility
Crypto prices can rise or fall by large amounts within hours or even minutes. There is no guaranteed value, and past performance tells you nothing reliable about the future. You could lose part or all of the value you hold.
Stablecoins
Stablecoins such as USDT and USDC are designed to track the US dollar, but they depend on their issuers and the reserves backing them. A stablecoin can temporarily or permanently lose its peg, and issuers can freeze tokens at certain addresses.
Exchange rates and spreads
- Every conversion includes our spread, so converting back and forth costs money — a round trip costs roughly twice the spread.
- National currencies such as the Turkish lira, Armenian dram, Iranian toman, British pound and US dollar also move against each other, sometimes sharply.
- The display currency you choose only changes how values are shown. It does not change what you actually hold.
Blockchain and network risks
- Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed. Funds sent to a wrong address or on the wrong network are usually lost for good.
- Networks can be congested, which delays confirmations and raises fees.
- Forks, software bugs and token contract problems can affect the value or availability of an asset.
Banking risks
Bank transfers can be delayed, rejected or returned by the banks involved, and intermediary banks may deduct fees. Banks can restrict accounts, and some countries have currency controls that limit transfers.
Service interruptions
We may pause conversions when price feeds are unavailable or markets are extremely volatile. Maintenance, technical faults or outages at our providers can also temporarily prevent you from converting, depositing or withdrawing at the moment you want to.
Legal and tax risks
Laws on crypto assets differ from country to country and can change quickly, which may affect whether and how you can use the Service. You are responsible for knowing the rules that apply to you and for paying any taxes due on your transactions.
Security risks
- Phishing sites, fake support accounts, malware and SIM-swap attacks target crypto users.
- Protect your account with 2FA and an anti-phishing code, and only use our official website and Telegram bot.
- Our team will never ask for your password, one-time codes or 2FA codes.
